Valentine's Day At the Aquarium

We went to the Virginia Beach Aquarium today with my friend Olivia.
We all loved every minute of it. The aquarium is housed in two buildings with a 1/4 mile nature trail in between. Just outside of the main doors is a big pool with harbor seals. There are a couple that have learned it's fun to splash the people watching them. It made for a fun time.

There is a lot of interactive things including touching sting rays and horseshoe crabs. The nature walk goes through woods and over a salt marsh. There is a look out tower and some wigwam replicas. The boys, Olivia, and I went up the tower and nobody freaked out or plummeted. I was a little nervous on it but I went because the boys wanted me to. The things a parent will do right.

My new favorite picture is the one of us in the sharks mouth. Maybe we will take Daddy-man back there and take another for our Christmas cards.

Max's New Haircut and Coraline

Max declared that he needed a haircut yesterday. Jumping at the chance to get a normally anti haircut kid's haircut I took him to the barber. He sat for the barber nicely and felt very much like a big boy sitting in the chair by himself.

Coraline has been with us for nearly a week. She and Nina at first only tolerated each other but now they play all the time. I'm certain that Coraline has never been played with or had the chance to play with other cats. These past two days Nina has been teaching Coraline how to play and she's taken to it with gusto. She's also put on a little weight and continues to eat like a horse.
